deYoung Museum of San Francisco Celebrates Native American Fashion

Eddie Madril and Sara Moncada of Sewam American Indian Dance,  produced and designing a unique event for the de Young Museum in San Francisco. Creating the opportunity to experience the art and beauty of Native fashion in this unique presentation, from traditional outfits to the Native inspired couture fashions of today, this event took visitors on a journey through the art of Native American cultures and how they have influenced us over the centuries. Eddie Madril, artistic director and concept originator, worked in  collaboration with other Native designers, artists, tailors, models and performers for what became an historic event celebrating the de Young Museum of San Francisco’s exhibit celebrating the fashion world of Jean Paul Gaultier.
